Open the 6.86 pH powder pack. Pour the powder into
one of the containers containing the distilled water. Stir
it well until the powder is completely dissolved. Label
this container as "6.86 pH buffer solution" for easy
reference.
Repeat all previous steps of this section to prepare a
4.01 pH and a 9.18 pH buffer solution.
NOTE: Replacement standard pH buffer solutions are
available at specialty retailers.
Using buffer solutions with other pH values may lead
to malfunction (see "Technical data" for the correct
specifications).
Pull off the protective cap 12 .
