Note
• Do not overestimate yourself. Accelerate slowly to develop
full control over the product. We also recommend that
only experienced drivers drive across the slope.
• If this is your first time using this kind of product, we
recommend receiving help from a second person. This
person should hold your hands to keep you stable. Try to
keep yourself steady to start with and try not to make any
hectic movements. The device will support your balance,
so try not to work against the compensating movements.
Instead, concentrate on your own balance.

7. Battery

Note
The battery should last around 1500 charging cycles from
normal use and appropriate maintenance. You will know
that the battery is dead when it needs to be charged more
frequently and the range decreases.

7.1. Safety when handling the batteries

Warning
To ensure safety and to maximise the service life and
performance of the battery, you must strictly follow the
instructions in this manual.
• You may not reuse batteries under the following
conditions:
- when the housing is damaged
- when there is an unusual odour
coming from the batteries or they are excessively hot
- when substances are leaking
• Avoid contact with leaking substances.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets.
• Contact with the battery voltage may cause death or
serious injury.
• Always disconnect the product from the mains power
supply before working on batteries (removing/inserting,
maintenance).
• Working on the product while the power cable is
connected is dangerous. Electric shocks may cause severe
personal injury or damage to property.
• The battery cells contain poisonous substances.
• Do not open the batteries under any circumstance.
Opening the batteries damages the housing and may
release poisonous substances.
• Do not insert objects into the batteries or try to break the
battery housing open. By inserting something into one of
the connections or openings, you may suffer an electric
shock, injuries or burns, or you may cause a fire.
• Only charge the battery with chargers permitted by the
manufacturer.

Warning
• Do not expose batteries or the charger to high
temperatures or moisture under any circumstances, and
never use a damaged charger.
• To avoid damage, you should check the charger regularly,
particularly cables and plugs. A damaged charger should
be repaired before further use. You should not use a
charger if it is damaged.
• You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
when disposing of and transporting batteries.

Note
• When using, charging or storing the battery outside
the specified temperature ranges, you risk voiding
your warranty and in some circumstances, you have
to take into account a lesser range and decreased
battery charging performance. To maximise the battery
performance, you must charge the battery for at least
three hours once a month or after 12 hours of use,
whichever comes first.
• Only charge the battery in the specified charging
temperature range.
Caution
• If you do not charge the batteries, they may completely
drain over time and become permanently damaged.
• The charging time depends on the following factors:
- current charge level. The lower the charge level, the
longer it will take to charge.
- battery temperature. Batteries that are too hot or cold
require more time or may not charge at all. Keeping the
temperature in the middle of the specified temperature
range is the best way to charge the battery.
