Stationary live steam engines are one of the most famous products from
the almost 150 year old history of the Märklin Company. In the past fans
of this form of propulsion have wished again and again these technical
masterpieces would be produced again. After a "pause in production" of
several decades Märklin has therefore decided to offer one of the most
popular versions of the stationary live steam engine again under item
number 16051.
This model has been designed for the most part in the same manner as
the original version. There have been a few changes to meet current safety
regulations.
During operation this live steam engine will be subject to discoloration,
changes in the surfaces of the unit and deposits at different locations on
the unit. These changes cannot be avoided and are irreversible. These
changes do not represent a defect in the construction or finish of the unit
and are therefore not covered by the warranty. You should not operate this
live steam engine if you want to keep it in pristine condition.
