Parameterization / basic settings
The parameterization is done according to the short reference in section 7.
4.1 Calibration
You have two possibilities to calibrate the measuring range of the sensor: First you can do the calibration with
demounted sensor or in mounted position with the medium.
You do the calibration with two levels: „empty" and „full". In mounted position you fill the vessel according to the
position you want to calibrate and teach in this position. In position „empty" you set the output to 4 mA (0 V) and to
20 mA (10 V) in position „full".
If you want to calibrate the demounted sensor you have to simulate the level. Connect the sensor to power and direct
the sensor to a wall such that the distance between the sensor and the wall equals the „empty" level. After teaching
in this distance you do the same for the „full" level. The sketch shows this procedure. The advantage of this method
is that you do have a full working system when you run your installation first time.
