P. ADJUSTING THE HEADLIGHT
BEAMS
The following procedure applies to both of
the headlights.
1. Adjust:
headlight beam (vertically)

a. Turn the adjusting knob (1) in direction
(a) or (b).
Direction (a)
Headlight beam is raised.
Direction (b)
Headlight beam is lowered.
2. Adjust:
headlight beam (horizontally)

a. Turn the adjusting knob (2) in direction
(c) or (d).
Left headlight
Direction (c)
Headlight beam moves to the left.
Direction (d)
Headlight beam moves to the right.
Right headlight
Direction (c)
Headlight beam moves to the right.
Direction (d)
Headlight beam moves to the left.

Q. CHECKING AND CHARGING
THE BATTERY
NOTE:

The battery used in this motorcycle is a
maintenance free (MF) valve-regulated
lead acid battery, it has been pre-filled with
electrolyte at the factory so there is no
need to add fluid at any time.
1. Check:
Using a digital voltmeter
The state of a discharged MF battery
can be checked by measuring open-cir-
cuit voltage (the voltage measured with
the positive and negative terminals dis-
connected).
Open-circuit voltage
12.8 V or higher
Charging time
Charging is not necessary

PHARES
Procéder comme suit pour les deux phares.
1. Régler:
faisceau de phare (vertical)

a. Tourner le bouton de réglage (1) dans un
sens (a) ou l'autre (b).
Sens (a)
Le faisceau de phare monte.
Sens (b)
Le faisceau de phare descend.
2. Régler:
faisceau de phare (horizontal)
G
a. Tourner le bouton de réglage (2) dans un
sens (c) ou l'autre (d).
Phare gauche
Sens (c)
Le faisceau de phare se dirige vers la gau-
che.
Sens (d)
Le faisceau de phare se dirige vers la
droite.
Phare droit
Sens (c)
Le faisceau de phare se dirige vers la
droite.
Sens (d)
Le faisceau de phare se dirige vers la gau-
che.

Q. CONTRÔLE ET CHARGEMENT
DE LA BATTERIE
N.B.:

La batterie de cette moto est de type plomb-aci-
de à régulation par soupape et est sans entretien
(MF). Elle a été remplie d'électrolyte à l'usine
et il ne sera à aucun moment nécessaire de faire
un appoint de liquide.
1. Contrôler:
Se servir d'un voltmètre numérique.
On peut contrôler l'état de charge d'une
batterie MF en mesurant la tension entre
ses bornes en circuit ouvert (déconnecter
les bornes positive et négative).

12,8 V ou plus
Durée de charge
Inutile de recharger.
