N. ADJUSTING THE FRONT FORK
LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of
the front fork legs.
WARNING

Always adjust both front fork legs

evenly.
Uneven
adjustment
result in poor handling and loss of
stability.
Securely support the motorcycle so

that there is no danger of it falling
over.
Spring preload
CAUTION:

Grooves are provided to indicate the

adjustment position.
Never go beyond the maximum or
G
minimum adjustment positions.
1. Adjust:
spring preload

a. Turn the adjusting bolt (1) in direction
(a) or (b).
Direction (a)
Spring preload is increased (suspen-
sion is harder).
Direction (b)
Spring preload is decreased (suspen-
sion is softer).

Standard: 4
Minimum: 6
Maximum: 1

j. Serrer la vis de purge comme spécifié.
Vis de purge:
6 Nm (0,6 m • kg)
k. Ajouter du liquide d'embrayage du type
recommandé jusqu'au niveau correct.
Se reporter à "CONTRÔLE DU NIVEAU
DU LIQUIDE D'EMBRAYAGE".

Contrôler le fonctionnement de l'embrayage
après avoir purgé le circuit d'embrayage hy-
draulique.

FOURCHE
Procéder comme suit pour chacun des bras de
fourche.

Toujours régler les deux bras de fourche

de façon identique. Un réglage inégal ris-
que de diminuer la maniabilité et la sta-
bilité du véhicule.
Caler solidement la moto pour qu'elle ne

puisse se renverser.
Précontrainte de ressort
ATTENTION:

La position de réglage est indiquée par

Ne jamais dépasser les limites de réglage

maximum ou minimum.

a. Tourner la vis de réglage (1) dans un sens
(a) ou l'autre (b).
Sens (a)
Précontrainte de ressort augmente (sus-
pension plus dure).
Sens (b)
Précontrainte de ressort diminue (suspen-
sion plus douce).
