4. After installing new sanding paper
M ovem ent of the sander m ay tend to becom e
unsteady after new sanding paper has been installed,
because of the new , coarse grain of the paper. This
can be avoided by slightly tilting the sander forw ard
or backw ard during sanding or polishing. Sander
m ovem ent w ill becom e steady as the sanding paper
surface becom es properly abraded.
M OUNTING THE OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
M aking a Hole in the Sanding Paper w ith the Punch
Plate (Fig. 5)
When using sanding paper w ithout holes in it, punch
holes in it w ith the punch plate to im prove dust
collecting capacity.
M AINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1. Emptying and cleaning the Dust Bag
If the dust bag contains too m uch saw dust, dust
collection w ill be affected. Em pty the dust bag w hen
it gets full.
Rem ove the dust bag, open the fastener, and dispose
of the contents.
2. Inspecting the sanding paper
Since use of w orn-out sanding paper w ill degrade
efficiency and cause possible dam age to the pad,
replace the sanding paper as soon a excessive
abrasion is noted.
3. Inspecting the mounting screw s
Regularly inspect all m ounting screw s and ensure
that they are properly tightened. Should any of the
screw s be loose, retighten them im m ediately. Failure
to do so could result in serious hazard.
4. M aintenance of the motor
The m otor unit w inding is the very " heart" of the
pow er tool.
Exercise due care to ensure the w inding does not
becom e dam aged and/or w et w ith oil or w ater.
5. Servicing
Consult an authorized Service Agent in the event of
pow er tool failure.
