General
With the reader PCBs the keypads can be converted subsequently
from "proX" to "mifare DESFire EV1" or "LEGIC advant" reader tech-
nology.
The installation is possible in the following keypads:
- LED Keypad for MB-Secure
Item no. 013000, 013011, 013013, 013015
- LED/LCD Keypad for MB-Secure
Item no. 013001, 013021, 013023, 013025
The construction of the keypads allows a simple diassambly and thus
the installation of the reader PCB on site.

Required precautions
During installation, and service work on the keypads, the panel must
be
disconnected from the mains
Please note:
The origin of electrostatic charges can not be avoided in
general. The only possibility is therefore to keep these
dangerous voltages from the electronics.
Before you start working

housing, heating, water pipe, etc.).

Remove front panel
Note: The procedure for LED / LCD keypad is identical.
Use a mounting wedge made of plastic for this work to avoid damage
and scratches on the front panel.

1. Separate out the front panel from the keypad front at the spots

using a slender plastic mounting wedge.
The front panel initially jumpes out only of the two latching lugs on

top
.
2. With your fingers you can grab the front panel in the top center and
pull it forward.
The front panel jumpes out of the two side latching lugs above
3. For further pull the front panel also jumps out of the two side latching
4
lugs below
.
4. Remove the front panel to the top.
5.
Remove front unit
Disassemble the front unit with 4 screws at the marked points
Remove the front unit from the housing rear wall.
