System Description

1.1

General

The IK3 System enables mechanical locking technology to be combined with electronic
transmission of data and information.
The IK3 evaluation units are equipped with an RS-485 bus that allows the use of up to 4 readers so
that the system can be operated at various points.
The components of the IK3 system are compatible with IK2 and can be easily integrated into
existing IK2 systems.

Functions - Overview:

The EU offers complete control and monitoring of the entire door.
- Connection possibilities
- Up to 4 readers at the RS-485 bus
- Up to 8 Trafficpoints RS-485 (additional switching devices)
Operation in conjunction with MB-Secure in preparation
- Bolt switching contact
- Opening contact
- Passive glass breakage sensor
- Blocking elements with monitored bolt end positions
- Door strike with monitoring and armature contact
- Arm/disarm IACS
- Possible switching devices:
- Reader with and without keypad, fingerkey reader, IK2 switching devices
- Radio components (digital fittings/locking cylinders online)
- Hold-up alarm
A special hold-up code entered via the reader keypad triggers a hold-up alarm.
- Control functions
Up to 100 control and switching functions can be invoked via the reader keypad.
Functions are assigned via the macro programming of the control panel.
- Access control functions
- Standard AC function
A door locked by a door strike can be released via the reader and/or a button. In
conjunction with arming/disarming, the door lock release can be combined with the
disarming function.
- Access control function via radio components (digital fittings/locking cylinders online)
Function in conjunction with MB-Secure in preparation
Wireless access control system that communicates with the evaluation unit via radio.
One evaluation unit can be equipped with up to 8 "radio doors" with access control
function with individual authorizations.
