Power and battery operation

The RENASYS™ TOUCH can be plugged into an electrical outlet while therapy
is On. Plug the power supply DC cord into the power jack on the device. Plug
the power cord into the power cord inlet on the power supply. Plug the power
cord into an electrical outlet. The external power indicator next to the power
jack will illuminate green when the device is plugged in. It is recommended to
keep the device plugged in when you are not mobile.
The device has a battery indicator in the top right corner of the touchscreen.
When the device is On, a lightning bolt will display in the battery indicator when
the battery is charging. If the battery indicator turns yellow or a battery alarm
occurs, plug the device into an electrical outlet to avoid the device turning Off
during therapy.
To allow the user greater mobility, the RENASYS TOUCH device can be
run using its internal battery for 8 to 12 hours from a full charge. It takes
approximately 3 hours to fully recharge.
Cautions:
Keep device away from direct heat sources during charging.
Charging the device while in the carry bag may heat up the device causing
the battery to suspend charging. The device will continue to operate. Remove
the device from the carry bag or move it into a cooler environment to help
cool it down. The battery will start charging again when the device cools.
The power supply may become warm while charging the device. Do not
position the power supply close to your body or under blankets or clothing
while charging.
