4. Before showering or bathing, pause therapy, then disconnect the
canister tubing quick click connector from the dressing quick click
connector and close the tethered caps of both connectors. The device
and power supply are electronic and cannot be exposed to water. If
water or other liquids get into the device, turn it Off and contact your
healthcare provider.
5. Do not use the power supply or power cord if they are damaged, wires
are frayed or exposed; you must run the device on its internal battery
power. Contact your healthcare provider for a replacement power supply
or cord.
6. The power supply may become warm while charging the device. Do
not position the power supply close to your body or under blankets or
clothing while charging.
7. The RENASYS™ TOUCH device is only to be used with Smith & Nephew
authorized components. Use with any other products has not been
proven safe and effective with the RENASYS TOUCH device.
8. Place the device on a level surface. When placed on an uneven surface,
the device can become unbalanced as fluid fills the canister.
