Processing and Amplification

The Sub VS8 has a signal processing and amplification chain that maximises the
results in conditions of total safety with regard to both signal quality and the protection
of components.

PROCESSING
The signal processing section comprises a number of automatic devices,
designed to give optimal results and assure the best reproduction conditions.
The devices vary depending on whether the signal is for internal or external use:
Internal Processing (Sub VS8)
In the event of stereo input, combination of the two channels to form a single
mono signal.
Level (volume) control.
HI-Pass and LO-Pass pass-band filters: they select only the band of
frequencies of use to the sub-woofer.
Level compressor/limiter: maintains a strong sound, but without distortion.
External processing (signal sent to the outputs)
HI-Pass Filters (-3dB): 100Hz - 12 dB/oct.
They filter out the lowest frequencies on the Left and Right Outputs.
