INTENDED USE
The machine is intended for making separating cuts and cutouts in wood, plastic,
metal, ceramic plates and rubber while resting firmly on the work-piece. It is suitable
for straight and curved cuts having miter angles of up to 45°.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an
operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own
cord. Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
2. Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to
a stable platform. Holding the workpiece by hand or against your body leaves
it unstable and may lead to loss of control.
3. IF YOU ARE NOT thoroughly familiar with the operation of a jig saw, obtain
advice from a qualified person.
4. The jig saw is double insulated. When servicing, use only identical
replacement parts.
5. Wear dust mask.
6. Avoid cutting nails when operate with the wood blade. Inspect the work-piece
carefully and remove all nails and staples before operation.
7. Make sure the blade always extends beyond the shoe and workpiece
throughout the stroke. Blades may shatter if they strike the work piece or
shoe.
8. Do not cut oversized work-piece.
9. Check for proper clearance beyond the work-piece before cutting so the blade
will not strike the floor, workbench, etc.
10. Make sure the blade is not contacting the work-piece before the switch is
turned on.
11. Keep the saw blades clean and sharp.
12. Use only correct blades. Always use blades recommended for the type of
work-piece.
13. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool only when hand-held.
14. Always release the switch to OFF and wait for the tool to come to a complete
stop before removing the blade from the work-piece.
15. Keep the handle dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean
cloth when cleaning. Do not use solvents, brake fluids, gasoline or other
petroleum products to clean the tool, they may damage plastic parts.
16. Do not operate this tool in a gaseous or explosive atmosphere or near
explosive materials.

17. Never force the tool. Apply firm pressure against the saw pivot shoe for the
sawing operation--too little or too much pressure could cause jumping,
vibration and break the blade.
18. Never operate the saw without the pivot shoe in position. The spindle may
strike against the work-piece and damage the reciprocating mechanism.
19. Hold the tool firmly.
19. Do not touch the blade or the work-piece immediately after the sawing
operation. It may be extremely hot and could burn your skin.
21. The machine shall be used in a covered and dry area. The ambient
temperature shall be included between 15°C and 30°C. The humidity level
shall be less than 60%.
GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and
!
specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
WARNING
Save all the warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power
tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.
1. Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
