STARTING SYSTEM (F8CW)
CHECKING THE BATTERY
Check:
Battery electrolyte level and specific


gravity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BATTERY"
on page 3-22.
CHECKING THE MAIN SWITCH
Check:
Main switch continuity


Refer to "CHECKING THE MAIN
SWITCH" on page 8-15.
CHECKING THE STARTER RELAY
1. Check:
Starter relay continuity


Out of specification
Starter relay continuity

Terminal - Terminal
Brown (Br) - Black (B)
2. Check:
Starter relay operation


No continuity
Checking steps:
(1)Connect the digital tester between the
terminal 1 and 2.
(2)Connect the 12V battery between
Brown (Br) lead and Black (B) lead.
(3)Check that there is continuity between
the terminal 1 and 2.
CHECKING THE FUEL ENRICHMENT
SOLENOID
Check:
Fuel enrichment solenoid resistance


Out of specification
Fuel enrichment solenoid resistance
