After adjusting the free play, turn the han-
dlebar to the right and left and make sure
that the trolling speed does not increase.

Choke cable inspection and adjustment

1. Measure:
Choke cable free play a
Out of specification → Adjust.
Choke cable free play:
1 ~ 6 mm (0.04 ~ 0.24 in)
2. Adjust:
Choke cable free play
Adjustment steps:
Loosen the locknut 1.
Turn the adjusting nut 2 in or out until
the specified free play is obtained.
Turn in
Turn out
Tighten the locknut.
3. Inspect:
Choke knob
(pull the choke knob all the way out)
Choke knob automatically returns →
Adjust.
Adjustment steps:
Turn in the adjusting nut 1 until the
choke knob does not automatically
return.

Free play is increased.
Free play is decreased.
