6 Commissioning
In case of interference or failure, please read chapter 10. Never try to
open the device. Repairs should be carried out at SIKO only.
When switched on MA506 runs a self-test and displays:
• all LED-segments (for ~1.5 s)
• the software version (e. g. 1_00)
• 0 – ready for operation!
MA506 has two operating modes: programming mode and input mode
(described below).

7 Programming mode

Ex works, the display is delivered with standard settings or customized.
Switch over to the programming mode if you want to change the settings
and reprogram the device. You can change or check the parameters at any
time. The values you selected are stored non-volatilely. For designation,
function and selectable values refer to the table in chapter 8.
To enter into programming mode
Press key for at least 1 s (pre-programmed) or for the period pro-
grammed under P_SEC.
To leave programming mode
No key actuation for at least 20 s, or press key
parameter list is reached.
To scroll parameter information
Press key .
