Special safety instructions
for the spray attachment
a) Keep the spray attachment
away from children.
b) Only use the spray attachment
in well-ventilated surroundings.
c) Spray with the direction of
wind, away from people, ani-
mals and foodstuffs.
d) Do not eat or drink while wor-
king with the spray attachment.
e) Do not aim the spray attach-
ment at open fl ames.
f) Observe location regulations.
g) Avoid operating the spray at-
tachment while empty.
h) Observe all the instructions pro-
vided for the plant protection
agent that you use in the spray
attachment. Wear protective googles
and gloves, or other recommended per-
sonal protective equipment, if required.

Do not use any hot, corrosive,
fl ammable, caustic or heat-pro-
ducing liquids in the spray at-
tachment.
j)
Keep hands and arms away
from the nozzle while the spray
attachment is in operation.
k) If you come into contact with
chemicals, proceed in accordan-
ce with the instructions of the
product used and seek medical
assistance immediately.

Further safety directions

Warning! Children, individuals with
limited physical, sensory or mental ca-
pabilities, as well as those who have
insuffi cient experience or knowledge
or are not familiar with the instructions
must never be permitted to use the
device. Local regulations may spe-
cify an age restriction for the user.
The device must never be used if
people – especially children – or
pets are nearby.
For your personal safety:
Wear suitable work clothes such
as boots with non-slip soles, sturdy
long trousers, gloves and goggles.
Hearing protection must be used in
case the device is used over prolon-
ged periods of time. Do not wear
long fl owing clothing or jewellery,
as this may be caught by moving
parts. Do not use this tool while
walking barefooted or while wea-
ring open sandals.
a) Only switch on the tool when
hands, feet and all other body
parts are at a secure distance to
the tool. Risk of injury from cuts.
b) Take care that you do not injure
your hands and feet with the
cutting elements.
c) Remove the power supply unit be-
fore working with the equipment.
Do not use extension cables. The
power supply unit is to be used
only in enclosed spaces. Water
entry increases the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not use the shrub cutter in
combination with the telescopic
shaft. There is a risk of cut wounds.
e) The tool is designed to trim hed-
ges. Do not use the tool to cut
branches, hard wood or other. To
avoid damaging the equipment.
f) Do not attempt to dislodge a
blocked/trapped blade before
switching the tool off. There is a
risk of injury.
