1.1 Field of Application
The Busch Watchdog Präsenz 6131-xxx-102-500 PM/A 2.x (hereinafter referred to as Presence
®‚
Detector) is designed solely for use indoors , e.g., in offices, schools, or private buildings. The
Presence Detector is used for switching and controlling, e.g., lighting and/or heating, air-
conditioning and ventilation systems as a function of the brightness and/or movement.
The device is designed for ceiling installation and can be both flush-mounted (e.g., in the case
of suspended ceilings) and surface-mounted (optional housing, Article No. 6885-xxx-500 (AG/A 1.x)). The
Presence Detector has high-sensitivity sensors/lens systems and, depending on the
application chosen, different functions, which can be varied via the ETS and/or the three
potentiometers (see Chapter 5).
Optimum operation of the device depends, inter alia, on the mounting height (see Chapter
4.2). The detection range can also be adjusted by means of a masking strip which is supplied
with the device (see Chapter 4.3).
