7.3 Problems, possible causes and remedies
Problem
Espresso/coffee
not hot enough

Cause
• Cups too cold.
• Not enough coffee
powder used.
• Coffee type
changed, setting
changed.
• Grinding mechanism
clogged by foreign
matter.
Remedy
•Warm up cups with
hot water. Increase the
coffee temperature: see
section 5.16.
•Measure coffee
properly: top up with
max. 1 measuring spoon
of coffee beans. Set
ground coffee quantity
higher. Vary grinding
fineness. Try a different
coffee sort.
•Take the automatic
grinding quantity
correction into
consideration: see
section 5.10 under Notes.
