6. Check whether the backflow preventer has been plugged
in.
7. Feed valve cartridge into the copper pipe with the
hexagon rod and press to stop.
8. Cut the hexagon rod to length.
• Distance to the previously cut copper pipe end 41 mm
• Use a cutting aid if necessary.
9. Pull valve cartridge with hexagon rod out of copper pipe.
10. Rinse pipe (acc. DIN 1988)
5.5. Assembling the drain valve
1. Put the clamp ring screw connection, consisting of a
rosette pressure disc, clamp screw connection and clamp
ring, onto the copper pipe.
2. Screw the spindle housing from the drain valve (SW17).
3. Turn the spindle (anti-clockwise) to stop.
4. Insert the valve cartridge with the hexagon rod all the way
into the spindle housing and fasten with the set screw.
5. Put the rosette onto the drain valve.
6. Put the drain valve all the way on and screw on the clam-
ping screw attachment (SW32) with counter-pressure at
the drain housing (SW27).
7. Screw the rosette with inserted pressure disc against the
wall.
8. Pull hexagon rod of the valve cartridge until stop to close
the locking claw fasteners.
9. Check whether the backflow preventer has been plugged
in.
10. Insert valve cartridge with mounted spindle housing into
pipe and screw into drain housing (SW17).
11. Push stop bushing in place
12. Put on the handle.
• Secure lockable handle (see accessories) additionally
with a screw.
13. Close valve (clockwise).
Only a gentle turning is needed to close the valve.
Tightening with too much force does not improve
the sealing, but can rather cause a malfunction.
14. Open water supply and check the valve for leaks and
function.
After closing the valve, a small amount of water conti-
nues to flow, because the valve empties by itself.
Remove hoses and screw connections before the
frost period.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning
• To be carried out by an installation company
• To be carried out by the operator
If necessary, the cartridge insert can be cleaned.
Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents
and/or alcohol to clean the plastic parts!
Detergents must not be allowed to enter the environ-
ment or the sewerage system!
1. Close the shut-off valve ahead of frost-resistant outer
valve.
• The fitting is open when the cartridge insert is
removed!
2. Pull off handle.
3. Unscrew spindle housing (SW17) from drain housing and
pull out along with hexagon rod and valve cartridge.
4. Clean valve cartridge or replace if necessary.
Do not disassemble the valve cartridge!
5. Insert valve cartridge with mounted spindle housing into
pipe and screw into drain housing (SW17).
6. Put on the handle.
• Secure lockable handle (see accessories) additionally
with a screw.

7. Disposal

• Valve housing made of red bronze
• Valve cartridge made of high-quality plastic
• Outside handwheel made of brass, chrome-plated
• Handwheel made of ABS plastic, chrome-plated
• Wall transition made of copper pipe, tin-plated on inside,
with insulation
Observe the local requirements regarding correct waste
recycling/disposal!
