Operation

The most comfortable way to operate the recorder is using the
mouse. Therefore, these instructions do not focus on operation
by means of a remote control or directly at the recorder.
Switch on the recorder with the rocker switch (30) located on
the rear of the unit. After a few seconds, the MONACOR logo
will appear on the monitor connected:
Then the camera images for live surveillance (chapter 7.3) will
appear. The internal alarm signal device will sound five times
to indicate correct operation. In case of a failure or alarm,
refer to chapter 8.

7.1 User lock

With the password protection feature enabled for the recorder
(chapter 6.6), the recorder will be automatically locked after
approx. 2 minutes when the recorder is not operated. This will
protect the recorder against unauthorized access and will be
indicated by the lock symbol
1) Show the toolbar: Press the right mouse button or move
the mouse pointer to the centre of the lower edge of the
screen.

2) To activate the lock earlier (before the 2 minutes have
elapsed), click the lock symbol.
3) When a function (e. g. the main menu) is called up while
the lock is activated, the window "Login" will appear:

4) Click the field "Password" highlighted by a blue border.
A window with a keyboard will appear. Use the keyboard
to enter the password and then click "Login".

7.2 User change

When multiple user accounts have been created for the
recorder, each new user must log in with their password to
be able to operate the recorder with the user rights they have
been assigned:
1) Show the toolbar (Fig. 7-1): Press the right mouse button
or move the mouse pointer to the centre of the lower edge
of the screen.
2) The lock symbol

appear (Fig. 7-2).

5) First use the button "Backspace" to delete the previous
user name in the keyboard window. Then enter the new
name via the keyboard window.
6) Proceed in the same way to enter the password, and then
click "enter".
7) Finally, click "Login".
When the password protection feature is not enabled, it will
suffice to click "Login".

7.3 Live surveillance

When the recorder is switched on, the camera images will be
shown in the live view:
