3. Fitting

3.1 Place of installation

The motion detector attachments 'Komfort' are in an optimal
position for detecting movements if they are installed perpen-
dicular to the direction of walking (Fig. 7). In other positions, the
detection will be delayed.
To prevent undesired switching, the following instructions
should be observed during the installation (Fig. 8):
- Reflected heat radiation from lamps or due to insufficient
spacing between lamp and motion detector may cause
undefined switching.
- Select the place of installation so that there are no sources
of disturbance, e.g. lamps or radiators, in the detection
field. If this is not possible, use the snap-on mask (see use
of the snap-on mask under 3.3).
