OIL FILLING

Position the slider (7) to its end of stroke against the stanchion tube (5-6).
Pour 2/3 of the indicated oil quantity into the stanchion. Fill also the inner duct
of the damper rod. Close the rod with a finger and pump the rod in order to
perform some strokes, so that the inner damper gets completely full with oil.
Fit the inner push-rod (31) and fill the stanchion with oil up to dimension "A"
from the slider top (7). Allow some minutes and then check the air volume
once again.
IMPORTANT: either a lower or higher air volume or an oil type different from the
indicated one can affect the fork behavior in any phase.

Fit the following parts into the leg according to the given order: pre-load sleeve
(25), spring (21) and retaining cup (20).
IMPORTANT: pre-load sleeve must always be fitted under the spring.

A =90 mm (3.54 in.)
Screw the plug (48) on the damper rod by hand.
Compress the spring so that the check nut (23) can be reached.
Keep firmly the plug (48) on the damper rod with the wrenches previously
used for disassembling the fork.
Tighten the check nut (23) on the plug (48).

Lubricate the OR (18) on the plug (48).
Lift the slider (7) and insert it into the plug (48). Do not damage the OR (18).
Tighten the plug (48) on the slider (7).
3- Oil seal change
NOTE
To change the oil seals, the fork legs must be disassembled.
Required tools: no. 2 19-mm Allen wrenches, seal ring pusher -part no.
R5080AC,
scale or gauge.
Tightening torque for damper rod: 10 Nm.
Tightening torque for plug check nut: 30 Nm.
Tightening torque for slider plug: 25 Nm.
