Installing the Magnet Rings

For BB86, BB30, and PF30

The magnet rings are attached to an optional specialized bottom bracket (sold separately).

If the existing BB86, BB30, or PF30 is installed, remove it.
Refer to the documentation of the bottom bracket for the removal procedure.

Press fit the optional specialized bottom bracket, and clean the surface of the bottom bracket on which
the magnet rings are installed.
Refer to the documentation of the specialized bottom bracket for the press fitting procedure.

Place the bicycle in a level place and mount it on a trainer.
Adjust the front wheel so that the front and back wheels are the same height.

Attach a level to the magnet ring.
Use the double-sided tape for the level to stick the long side of the level so it covers the "R" on the right side and the "L" on
the left side.

Remove the clear non-adhesive backing paper from the inside of the magnet rings.
See page 26 for details on procedure 2.

Adjust the position of the magnet rings and then mount the magnet rings.
Use a level as you rotate the magnet rings to adjust them so they are level and the air bubble is centered.
Press magnet rings strongly until you hear them click.

Be careful that you do not bend the hooks on the magnet rings.

Carefully check the position of the magnet rings before installing them. The magnet rings cannot be rotated once they are installed on the
BB.

Remove the double-sided tape and the level.

Be careful to not damage the parts of the BB with the double-sided tape used to attach the level.
