The digital multimeters are provided with a 31/2-digit,
13 mm LCD display and are equipped with the stan-
dard functions DC V, AC V, DC A, and Ω measure-
ments as well as diode testing.
For currents of more than 200 mA and up to 10 A
a special high current jack has been installed.
According to model there are additional measuring
functions.

Setting into operation

The multimeter is switched on by turning the rotary
switch away from the OFF position to any range. If
there is no display, at first insert a battery. For this
open the multimeter:
Loosen the two screws at the rear side and remove
the cover while watching the two latches at the upper
edge.
Now in the battery compartment a 9 V transistor
battery is clamped at the battery cable with the cor-
rect polarity. Then the multimeter is closed again after
the two latches have been inserted again.
