3. Connecting the Transformer
Model railroad lights in buildings and / or street lights are connected directly to the
yellow "L" terminal clip and brown "0" terminal clip on the 32 VA Transformer.
The diagram for connections for model railroad lights can be found in Figure 9,
page IV. The diagrams for connections for a turnout mechanism or a signal mecha-
nism can be found in Figures 10 and 11, page IV + V.

Important: The model railroad lights or solenoid accessories connected to the trans-
former must be rated for 16 volts AC.
3.5 Transformer for Powering a Digital Central Unit
or the Delta-Control 4 f
The transformer can also be used to power the Märklin Control Unit (no. 6021),
a Märklin Booster (no. 6017) or the Delta Control 4 f (no. 66045).
The diagrams for these connections can be found in Figures 12, 13 and 14,
page V + VI. The Control Unit is shown connected to an H0 layout (Figure 13) and to
a 1 Gauge layout (Figure 14).
The yellow power wire for solenoid accessories (turnout, uncoupler track or signal) is
connected to the yellow "L" terminal clip on the transformer. The blue control wires for
solenoid accessories are connected to the sockets on the 7072 control box. The
ground connection on the 7072 control box is connected to the brown "0" terminal
clip on the transformer.
If a lantern on a turnout does not light up, then the brown "0" terminal clip for the
transformer powering the solenoid accessories must be connected to the brown "0"
terminal clip on the train control transformer.
The wiring diagrams for the individual turnouts or signals can be found in the instruc-
tions included with these items.
