Charging the Battery
Charge the battery before first use.
In contrast to Ni-Ca or MH batteries lithium-ion batteries do not
have a memory effect. The capacity of other batteries decreases
steadily but the capacity of lithium-ion batteries does not
decrease. The capacity remains constantly until the electronics
interrupts discharging. The unit will stop abruptly, if the charging
level of the battery falls below a certain value.
Regardless of the charging condition, the battery can be charged
at any time without damaging the cells.
1. Connect the power cord of the
charger with a wall socket and the
charging socket of the grass and
hedge shear. The charging indicator
lamp (2) lights red.
After charging the battery for 5 hours,
the charging indicator lamp lights green.
2. Remove the charger from the grass and hedge shear and
unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
Hint: The grass and hedge shear cannot be operated while
charging process!
Attaching and Removing the Blades
Attention! Before attaching or removing
the blades, take out the safety disabling
device (5) from the unit. By removing the
safety disabling device the motor will be
cut from the energy source.
