5. Functional description

As already mentioned in the chapter "Prescribed Use", the selection of the "AW50" alarm dialer can
take place through "KeyMatic CAC" or through "RM50" radio smoke detector (up to 16 devices are
possible overall).
The alarm dialer is switched between analog telephone and telephone socket/telephone line. As a
result, the analog telephone can be used as usual, without any restrictions.
The triggering of the "AW50" alarm dialer through "KeyMatic CAC" takes place either after entering
the incorrect access code 3times (eg attempted burglary) or via silent alarm (if there is mugging in
front of the door, the code opens the door, but at the same time the "AW50" alarm dialer is
inconspicuously triggered via radio, so that the attacker doesn't notice anything.
From a certain smoke concentration the "RM50" radio smoke detector triggers its acoustic and
optical signal transmitter. The smoke alarm is simultaneously transmitted to the "AW50"alarm dialer
via radio.
Now the "AW50" alarm dialer rings up to three telephone numbers and plays your recorded voice
message.
Functions and features at a glance:
• Reception of alarm message of up to 16 devices ("KeyMatic CAC" or "RM50" radio smoke
detector) and release of a voice message to up to three programmable telephone numbers in the
telephone network
• Simple connection to an analog fixed line telephone network; the connected telephone can still be
used; so the following is possible:
1. Direct connection between telephone and telephone socket or the connection as main/extension
line via an analog telephone system to the analog telephone connection
2. As analog extension line via a telephone system on the ISDN connection
• Three programmable telephone numbers (up to 22 digits incl. dialing pauses)
• Four voice messages can be recorded via internal microphone:
1. Message in the case of smoke alarm (eg "smoke alarm triggered")
(if you are not using smoke detectors, you can also record a message for the use of "KeyMatic
CAC")
2. Message via "KeyMatic CAC" (eg "attempted burglary by 3times incorrect entry")
3. Message via "KeyMatic CAC" (eg "silent alarm, mugging")
4. Message in the case of "battery empty" warning of the "AW50" alarm dialer (eg "Hello! The alarm
dialer battery is empty, please change immediately".
• Internal loud speaker to control recorded voice messages
• Test operation is possible: To check the transmission path between the alarm dialer and the
"KeyMatic CAC" or the "RM50" smoke detectors, the alarm dialing of saved telephone numbers
is switched off
