Installing A Grinding Disc (Fig. 7)
WARNING: Always use the supplied wrench for slackening and tightening the clamping nut. You must ensure that the grinding
disc is positioned correctly before tightening the nut. Failure to do so will damage the disc and may result in serious injury when
the machine is switched on.
• Press the spindle lock button (10) and rotate the disc nut (2) until the spindle locks.
• Using the wrench supplied insert the pins into the holes on the disc nut. Turn the wrench anti· clockwise to release it.
• Place the grinding disc over the spindle with the concave side of the disc facing outward.
• Screw the clamp nut onto the spindle with the flat side of nut facing up. Fit the raised small diameter portion of the clamp nut
into the hole in the grinding disc. Tighten to finger tight only.
• Press the spindle lock button and rotate the grinding disc clockwise until the spindle locks.
• Securely tighten the disc nut with the wrench provided.

Operation

On/Off Switch (Fig.14)
• To start the tool, pull back the safety lever (1) towards the rear of the machine and then squeeze the On/Off trigger (2).
• To stop the tool. release the trigger.
Grinding & Cut-off
Grinding discs should be a minimum of 3.9mm thickness and rated to a minimum of 11,000 RPM.
Cut-off discs should be a minimum of 1mm thickness and rated to a minimum of 11,000 RPM.
• Always select and use discs that are recommended for the material to be ground/cut.
• Secure all work before beginning the operation.
• Secure small workpieces in a vice or clamp to a workbench.
• For maximum control, hold the grinder in front and away from you with both hands, keeping the grinding disc clear of the
workpiece. Start your grinder and let the motor reach full speed. Gradually lower the grinder until the grinding disc contacts
the workpiece.
• Use just enough pressure to keep the grinder from vibrating or bouncing.
• Use light pressure when grinding jagged edges or loose bolts where there is potential for the grinder to snag on the metal
edge causing kickback.
• Lift the grinder away from the workpiece before turning it OFF.
