• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the cable when disconnecting the mains plug; always hold the plug by
its designated grip areas.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket after each use.
• When not using the product for a longer period of time or when cleaning the
device, disconnect the mains plug from the mains.
• For safety reasons, always unplug the device in case of a thunderstorm.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges
or put under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains
cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the
mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly
electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective
mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the
mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is
damaged.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Guide the mains cable in such a way, that no one can trip over it or get caught in
it. This poses a risk of injury.
• In order to avoid damaging the mains cable, never wind it around the product.
• Do not suspend the product by its mains cable, but only use the designated
suspension eye.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
product.
• Maintenance work, adjustments and repairs may be carried out only by a
professional or at a specialist workshop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,

Operation

When in use, hold the hair dryer by its grip (6) only. Handle the styling nozzle only
before switching on the device. Caution, hot air!
Slight odor might occur when using the product for the first time. This is not
dangerous. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
Keep the air inlet grille (1) and/or air outlet clear from hair, fingers or other objects
during use.
• After washing, dry your hair with a towel first. Drying very wet hair might damage the hair
structure. Dry your hands thoroughly before touching and operating the hair dryer.
• Unfold the handle (6).
• Fully unwind the mains cable (4) and connect the mains plug to an easily accessible wall
socket.

• Start drying your hair with the switched-on hair dryer. We recommend leaving a distance
of at least 20 cm between the hair dryer and your hair during use. Point the hair dryer at
your hair and not directly at the scalp. Always keep the hair dryer moving, in order to avoid
concentrating the heat to one spot for too long.
• Attach the styling nozzle (8) to the hair dryer if you want to concentrate the airflow to one
particular area of your hair. The styling nozzle must lock into place. Remove the styling
nozzle when not needed anymore.

Overheat protection

• In case of overheating, which can be caused by covering the air inlet grille and/or air outlet,
the hair dryer will switch off automatically and back on again after a short cool-down phase.

Cleaning and care
• Before each cleaning, disconnect the product from the mains and wait until it has cooled
down to room temperature.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
• Do not immerse the product including the mains cable in water or other liquids! The product
must not be exposed to moisture. Protect it from dripping/splashing.
• Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
Storage
• Disconnect the product from the mains and wait until it has cooled down to room temperature.
• Fold down the handle.
• To prevent damage to the mains cable, do not wind it around the product.
• Store the product out of reach of children at a dry and dust-free location protected from direct
sunlight.
• Use the suspension eye (5) to hang the product up.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household

waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
