• Connect the yellow "NTSC" cinch connector with the yellow cinch socket of the camera. Also connect
the black hollow plug with the camera camera socket.
• Connect the four plugs of the ultrasound sensors (A to D) in the right sequence with the sockets
"A,B,C,D" of the control unit (1). Make sure that the letters on the cables and sockets are in the right
sequence.
• Plug the cable of the warning buzzer (3) into the socket "ALM" of the control unit (1).
• You can connect an external video source (e.g. additional camera or DVD) to the yellow "VIDEO1 IN"
cinch socket. Sound playback is not possible.
After all plug connections are made, you have to connect the mirror screen voltage supply and the
reverse drive light.
The parking aid consists of two parts that must be connected to different power sources.
The monitor is connected to constant positive, as it should also function independently of reverse driving.
Integrate an optional switch into the steady plus line to manually switch off the reverse driving video sys-
tem if you do not use your car for several days.
The ultrasound system however may only be functioning when the reverse gear is engaged. It is there-
fore supplied by the rear lights.
Measure the correct cables with a volt meter or a diode test lamp.
Constant positive can be accessed directly on the fuse box, the ignition or the system memory of the car
radio.
With an optional cable cutting connector, you can easily establish safe contact without sev-
ering the cable. To do so, place the cable cut connection around the voltage cable and addi-
tionally the conductor into the connector. Use pliers to press the contact point onto the
cables.
Make sure that the contact place is permanently insulated (e.g. insulated clamps,
tape, etc.).
Steady plus connection
• Connect the red positive lead (+) of the monitor connection cable (10) with a contact carrying con-
stant positive potential. This circuit is secured by a fuse in the fuse box. No additional fuse is
required.
Integrate an optional switch into the steady plus line to manually switch off the reverse dri-
ving video system if you do not use your car for several days.
• Connect the black negative lead (-) of the monitor connection cable (10) to a ground contact (e.g. car
body).
