Drilling fastening holes
Observe the safety instruc-
tions for the drill.when
drilling Make sure you do
not damage any leads or
cables located in the drilling
area.
Drill the holes for the four ultrasound sensors with the enclosed 21mm drill, the opening for the camera
with the 28 mm drill.
After drilling, smooth the holes with a file or a sharp blade.
Inserting the ultrasound sensors and cameras
The ultrasound sensors must always be
mounted horizontally, otherwise measur-
ing will be faulty.
Press the sensors in the right direction
into the openings until these lie flush on
the bumper. Loosen the knurled screws
in the camera and adapt the camera to
the bumper with the metal distancer
rings (8) if necessary. Do not screw the camera tight yet, as you still have to adjust the angle of view.
Make sure to connect the ultrasound sensors in the right sequence. Start with sensor A on
the rear left (also see illustration in the chapter "Installation"). If the sequence is mixed up,
the direction assignment on the display (11) is not correct.
