Product Description

The reverse driving video system emits ultrasonic waves from four sensors on the vehicle's rear end. If
any waves are reflected off an obstacle, the same sensors pick this up.
The distance to the obstacle is determined by evaluating the echo runtime and displayed optically and
acoustically via the TFT colour monitor integrated in the rear-view mirror. The sound interval of the sig-
naller changes in relation to the distance to the obstacle.
The camera image can be set individually (format conversion 16:9/4:3, mirror function, brightness, con-
trast, etc.). All functions are controlled via the IR remote control. The camera image is displayed like in a
real mirror when driving backwards.
The reverse driving video system, the monitor as well as the camera image are automatically activated
when engaging the reverse gear. Manual monitor operation can be achieved by an optional switch.
The colour camera automatically switches to the more sensitive monochrome mode in case of bad light.
The integrated infrared illumination is activated at darkness. In absolute darkness, the illumination is suf-
ficient for a range of approx. 2m.
Pre-customized parts simplify the installation.
The ultrasonic sensors are waterproof and dustproof and therefore require no maintenance other than
cleaning their exterior.
The rear-view mirror is tinted and does not need to be shaded.
The device corresponds to the vehicle guideline (marked by the "e" number) and thus licensed
for operation on public roads in the EU countries.
