b) Recording

• Press the 'REC' (13) Button to start record-
ing. The LED-Light (8) illuminates during the
recording. The current recording time is dis-
played on the bottom right of the display. The
maximum recording level is displayed in the
bottom left of the display.
• Turn the recording level control (1) to adjust
the recording level.
• Press the 'STOP' (14) Button to stop the re-
cording. The LED-Light (8) is switched off.
It is possible to pause the recording by pressing the 'START/PAUSE' (18) But-
ton. The LED-Light (8) blinks until the recording is resumed by pressing the
'START/PAUSE' (18) button.
• If the current recording is stopped with the 'STOP' (14) Button, the next recording is automati-
cally saved on the next free recording track.
The product records all audio signals in Stereo. The recording format as well as
the sampling rate is briefl y shown on the top of the display after the recording
is completed.
Instructions for the recording
• In order to obtain the best possible audio recording, keep the product at table height at least
60 cm away from the Audio-Source.
• If you record from an audio source accompanied with simultaneously playing, different instru-
ments, set the product on the most quietest instrument to obtain a balanced recording quality.
• Use the supplied Clip-Microphone to directly record the talking person.
• When the internal microphone is used for the recording, the key confi rmation can be heard in
the recording. Each key confi rmation or the touching of the housing can lead to interference
noise in the recording. Hence it is advisable to carry out all settings before the actual recording
and then to place the product on an even surface.
• Make sure while setting the recording level that the recording level control is not set on maxi-
mum, otherwise the audio signal may be distorted.

c) Playback of the Audio-Files

The product can be used for the replay of the audio fi les recorded by the user or copied on the
product from the computer. The volume of the audio-fi le to be replayed can be adjusted via the
'Volume' (17) button. In order to improve the sound and the volume, HIFI-Amplifi er can be con-
nected as an alternative via the Line-Out-Socket (10).
