b) Connecting external device

• Connect an external microphone, an electrical guitar or an audio-device (e. g. CD-Player,
Radio) to the Audio-In-Socket (2).
• Connect HIFI-Amplifi er to the Line-Out-Socket (10).
The product provides two internal microphones, which can be used in combina-
tion with maximum 2 external microphones. If all 4 microphones are simultane-
ously used, the 2 microphones per Stereo-Channel are automatically merged
at balanced level. This combination is in particular proper for situations, where
several instruments are to be heard or recording should be done with back-
ground music.

c) Inserting SD-Memory cards

The product provides an internal memory (128 MB), additionally the Audio-fi les can be stored
on SD-Memory card.
SD-Memory cards or SDHC-Memory cards can be used. The memory cards must be formatted
in FAT 32.
Use an SD-Memory card that is used exclusively for the recordings with this
product. If this SD-memory card is used for other devices, data can be deleted
or damaged.
While inserting or removing an SD-memory card, the product must be switched off.
• Switch the product off, by holding the 'START/PAUSE' (18) Button until the display disappears.
• Insert the SD-Memory card having the contacts at the bottom in the SD-Memory card clot (11)
until it is locked.

d) Activate/deactivate the product

• Switch the product on, by holding the 'START/PAUSE' (18) Button until 'LoAd' briefl y appears
on the display.
• Switch the product off, by holding the 'START/PAUSE' (18) Button until the display disappears.
After fi ve minutes of inactivity, the product will switch off automatically.
