5. Safety instructions
We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the product has been
abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions. The
warranty will then expire!
•
Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
•
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.
•
The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, excessive humidity, moisture,
dust, combustible gases, vapours or solvents.
•
No object should obstruct the ventilation holes. Suffi cient airfl ow must be provided since the product is predominantly cooled
by convection.
•
The mixer should be placed so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation.
•
The operating instructions of the connecting devices, such as effect processor or microphone, must likewise be observed
before installation and operation of the product.
•
The mains cable must not be squashed or damaged by sharp edges.
•
The product should not be connected immediately after it has been brought from an area of cold temperature to an area of
warm temperature. Condensed water might destroy the product. Wait until the product stabilising to adapt to the new ambient
temperature before use.
•
Listening to music with high sound pressure levels (SPL) is suffi cient to cause permanent hearing damage, which can be
treated as physical injury and persecuted by law. Avoid extended exposure to SPL greater than 90 dBA.
•
The plug must be disconnected from the mains socket:
-
before cleaning the product,
-
in case of thunderstorms and
-
if the product is not in use for a longer time
•
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children and pets!
•
Packaging material could become dangerous toy for children. Never leave it lying around carelessly.
•
If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, put the device out of operation and secure it against
unintended operation. Safe operation is no longer possible if:
-
the device shows visible damages or no longer works,
-
the power cord or plug becomes wore out or otherwise damaged,
-
the internal fuse is defective, in this case please contact qualifi ed personnel to replace it,
-
the device was stored under unfavouwrable conditions for a long period of time and
-
the device was subject to considerable transport stress.
•
If the product is used in a commercial context, the safety prevention regulations of employers' liability insurance association
for electrical equipment and relevant operating resources must be observed.
•
Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.
•
If any questions arise that are not answered in this operating instruction, contact our Technical Advisory Service or other
experts.
