Transmitter
IR-Remote control
1. For operation, align the remote control to control display "2" of the trans-
mitter!
2. Operate the desired buttons of your infrared remote control to select e.g. a
television channel or to change the volume on your hi-fi system! The con-
trol displays "2" and "5" blink in this case.
The operation is the same as before with your normal remote control, as if you
were in the same room with the device(s).
If it should work in an unexpected way or otherwise malfunction, then discon-
nect the operating voltage immediately (pull out power adapter units from the
outlet) and proceed according to the "Troubleshooting" check list further on in
this user's guide!
The product is constantly on, so disconnect the power adapter units from the
outlet if you do not need it for a while!
Maintenance and disposal
Regularly examine the technical security of the product, e.g. for damage of
the cables and the two coverings!

Receiver
Contact our technical support if doubts arise about the function, safety, or
connection of the device!
Devices that are operated at standard household voltage, do not belong in
children's hands! Therefore take special concern in the presence of children!
In commercial facilities, the guidelines for preventing accidents set by the
trade association for electrical systems and equipment are to be followed!
Function
The transmitter receives the infrared signal from an infrared remote control
and converts this into a high frequency signal, which is resent with 434 MHz.
The receiver takes this signal; converts it into an infrared signal, and passes
this on to the device to be operated.
Despite the small transmitting power, which does not normally disturb other
devices, the transmission signal can be recognized by the receiver from dis-
tances of up to 25 m.

Start-up
You can use this infrared transmission system for different purposes, e.g.
operating hi-fi systems, video recorders, DVD players, SAT receivers, etc. via
remote control.
