8. Fonctions de base

a) Allumer et éteindre
Allumez l'appareil au moyen de l'interrupteur d'alimentation de la face avant de l'ap-
pareil (2). Le voyant de fonctionnement s'allume, l'appareil est en mode de vielle.
Pour allumer l'appareil, il y a trois possibilités:
• Appuyez sur la touche "CH " ou "CH
(4).
• Appuyez sur la touche "CH " ou "CH
• Appuyez sur la touche marche/arrêt de la télécommande (49).
Pour éteindre l'appareil, appuyez sur la touche marche/arrêt de la télécommande.
L'appareil se remet alors en mode de veille. Pour éviter toute consommation de cou-
rant indésirable, éteignez l'appareil également par l'interrupteur d'alimentation se
trouvant sur la face avant, si vous ne l'utilisez pas pendant une certaine période.
b) Sélection d'un canal/d'un émetteur
Appuyez sur la touche "CH " ou "CH
ou sur la télécommande) pour sélectionner l'émetteur souhaité.
Pour sélectionner un émetteur déterminé, appuyez sur la touche numérique corre-
spondante de la télécommande, par ex. "8".
Pour sélectionner un numéro de canal à deux chiffres (par ex. "16"), activez d'abord le
mode deux chiffres par la touche "-/--". Appuyez ensuite sur les touches numériques
correspondantes (par ex. d'abord sur "1" et ensuite sur "6").
Si vous vous trouvez dans ce mode et vous souhaitez sélectionner un canal à un seul
chiffre, vous pouvez soit commuter sur le "mode un chiffre" par la touche "-/--" soit
entrer le numéro de canal à un chiffre précédé d'un zéro, par ex. au lieu d'entrer "8",
tapez "08".
c) Réglage du volume, réglage silencieux
Réglez le volume souhaité par les touches "VOL
face avant de l'appareil (5) ou sur la télécommande (38). La touche "MUTE" de la télé-
commande (50) permet de baisser le son (réglage silencieux), par ex. pour téléphoner
à quelqu'un.

You may use this function to mark a maximum of 5 passages of the DVD which is ins-
erted, which then can be skipped in order to replay them.
• Mark the film position
Press the "MARK" key while the film is running.
A faded-in "flag" and 5 strokes will appear. These strokes stand for the 5 memories
which are available.
The cursor keys " " and " " of the remote control unit (11, 40) allow to select one
of the 5 memories. Then, press the "ENTER" key of the remote control unit (42) to
store the film position. Instead of the stroke, a number will now appear; it shows you
that the memory is occupied.
Press the "MARK" key anew to make the faded-in message disappear.
• Replay the stored film position
To replay the position which is stored, press the "MARK" key so that the faded-in
message appears with the flag; select the memory you desire by means of the " "
and " " cursor keys and, then, press the "PLAY" key of the remote control unit (36).
• Overwrite the film position
If you wish to overwrite a film position which was stored already press the "MARK"
key (whereupon the faded-in message appears with the flag). Simply select a
memory which is occupied already, using the " " and " " cursor keys, and press
the "ENTER" key.
The memory will be overwritten by the new, actual film position.
• Erase a film position
To erase the position which was stored, press the "MARK" key, select the desired
memory by means of the cursor keys " " and " " and, then, press the "CLEAR"
key of the remote control unit (10).
m) A-B repeat funktion, "REPEAT A-B" key of the remote control unit (48)
This function helps in marking two passages in the film. The film passage between
them will then be replayed again and again (from point A to point B).
Press the "REPEAT A-B" key while the film is running and a few seconds later once
again, for instance.
The film passage marked between the two pressings of the key will now be replayed
again and again.
A faded-in message shows you that the repeat function is turned on.
