Product description

Pocket Com is a convenient portable radio transmitter / receiver for
usage in the LPD range within the 70 cm (UHF) band. The applian-
ce can be operated on 69 channels and offers its user a selection
of 38 CTCSS calling tones from which to choose. Usage requires
no registration, nor payment of any fees. Pocket Com is fitted with
a multi-function LCD display with background lighting, an automa-
tic muting facility to suppress interference as well as an integrated
modulation limiter that automatically adjusts the appliance to given
voice and volume levels. This means transmission quality is always
sharp and clear. Other features the appliance incorporates include
an automatic cut-off facility, a battery display, a keypad lock and a
memory function. Pocket Com is a radio transmitter / receiver sui-
table for all users wanting to establish radio links over short di-
stances. Providing the signal is not subject to any blockage or ex-
ternal interference, the appliance has a range of up to 2 km; in rein-
forced concrete buildings its range may be limited to approx. 50 m.
Communication between vehicles in convoy can be maintained up
to a distance of approx. 1.5km (tinted windscreens/windows redu-
