The abbreviation "LPD" is derived from the English term "low po-
wer device". In the case of radio equipment, this is generally taken
to mean appliances with a limited transmission performance
(10mW) which operate in the UHF frequency range between
433.050 and 434.790 MHz employing the FM transmission mode.
LPD frequencies are located within the 70cm band reserved for
amateur radio usage, but can also be accessed by LPD users. The
channel allocation foreseen by this appliance need not coincide
with that of other manufacturers. The wide variety of application
options it opens up, both for work purposes (on building sites, at
business events) or for private purposes (leisure activities, sport
etc.) makes the appliance interesting for all user types. And what is
more, Pocket Com operation is really easy.
The appliance runs on three micro-type (AAA) batteries which, ho-
wever, are not supplied with the equipment.
