7. Mise en service
a) Mise en place
Placez l'appareil sur une surface plane, solide et suffisamment grande.
Veillez à ce qu'il y ait suffisamment de place autour de l'appareil. L'écart entre l'appa-
reil et d'autres appareils, surfaces ou meubles doit être d'au moins 10cm afin que
l'appareil soit suffisamment aéré.
Une accumulation de chaleur risque non seulement de détruire l'ap-
pareil mais aussi de causer un incendie !
b) Brancher et mettre en marche
Reliez la prise scart se trouvant au dos du lecteur DVD à la prise scart de votre télévi-
seur.
Reliez la prise secteur du lecteur DVD à une prise de courant ordinaire normée au
moyen du cordon d'alimentation joint. Allumez l'appareil par l'interrupteur se trouvant
au dos de celui-ci.
Le lecteur DVD ne consomme que très peu de courant en mode Standby
(veilleuse). Au cas où vous n'utiliseriez pas le lecteur DVD pour une
longue période, vous pouvez l'éteindre par l'interrupteur secteur et éco-
nomiser cette consommation.
Une fois l'appareil allumé en veilleuse, la diode LED "POWER" s'allume sur orange.
Mettez le lecteur DVD en marche en appuyant soit sur la touche "POWER" sur le
devant de l'appareil soit sur la touche "ON/OFF" (19) de la télécommande, la diode
LED passe de « l'orange » au « vert ».
Choisissez ensuite l'entrée/la connexion scart appropriée de votre téléviseur, voir le
mode d'emploi de celui-ci.

14. Maintenance and Cleaning
Please check regularly if the technical safety of the product and the connected
devices is still guaranteed, e.g. damaged shell or mains cable.
If there is room to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the product
out of operation and secure it against any unintended operation. Safe operation must
be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the product exhibits visible damage
- the product does not operate any longer
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the product was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Prior to maintenance or cleaning it is essential to observe the following safety
instructions:
Prior to cleaning, maintenance or overhauling the device must be sepa-
rated from all voltage sources, pull the mains plug out of the mains sock-
et! It is not sufficient to switch the device off at the mains switch!
There are no parts in the interior of the product that the user has to do
maintenance work for; the shell must not be opened.
Any repairing must be carried out by an expert who is familiar with the
involved dangers and the corresponding regulations.
A soft, dry and fluff-free cloth is sufficient for cleaning the product.
For soiling that cannot be removed using a dry cloth you can dampen the
cloth with lukewarm water.
Do not use any aggressive cleansing agents or chemical solutions as the
shell might be damaged and even malfunctions might occur.
Prior to reconnecting the DVD-player to the mains voltage wait until the
device has dried completely.
15. Disposal
Dispose of the unserviceable device according to the legal regulations.
