Intended use
The GPS Sport LogBook is used to determine the position and to record points along the way
using GPS. The received data can be transferred to a computer using the USB interface and
the software provided.
This product is not suitable for commercial/industrial use.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
The product is weatherproof and is thus suitable for outdoor use.
The GPS Sport LogBook's power may be supplied only by the included rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery can be recharged with a common USB charger or at the USB inter-
face of a computer.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves
the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or
converted!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Safety Instructions
First, read the complete operating manual carefully, as it contains important
information about the proper operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the prod-
uct is not permitted.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed, struck or
dropped, even from a low height.
• Condensation may form when the product is brought from a cold room into a warm
one. Therefore, wait until it has reached room temperature before using it.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a danger-
ous plaything for children.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for incorrect or inaccurate readings
or any consequences resulting from such readings.

Recharging the Battery
• Pull off the cover over the USB connector (2). To do this, grip the cover as shown in the
following images.
• Connect the USB connector (2) to a free USB interface on your computer.
• Alternatively, the rechargeable battery may be recharged using a common USB charger with
corresponding USB connection.
• The battery status indicator (5) lights up green during the charging process.
• Before first use, the rechargeable battery should be charged for approx. four hours. After that,
a full recharge takes approx. two hours.
• When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the battery status indicator (5) goes out
again.
• When the battery status indicator (5) starts to flash red during operation, the battery needs to
be charged again. The device does not record any positions in this condition.
• Avoid operation in a very hot environment as this will impact on the service life of
the rechargeable battery.
• Operation in extremely cold environment may reduce battery life.
• To charge the battery, use only the USB interface of a computer or a suitable
charger with USB port.
• Never expose the device to extreme heat and never throw it into a fire. The
rechargeable battery may explode.
• If the device is not to be used for a long time (e.g. storage), recharge the battery
fully beforehand. If the storage duration exceeds three months, the rechargeable
battery must be recharged. Otherwise, there is a danger that an old rechargeable
battery can leak or may become unusable after exhaustive discharge. Warranty
will be voided!
