b) Altimeter


The calculation is not based on changes in air pressure, but by analysing GPS
data.
To determine the altitude, at least 4 GPS satellites are required. Otherwise the
displayed results are useless. The accuracy of the displayed results is dependent
on the GPS signal. Deviations of 10 or more meters are therefore normal!
Press the "Mode" button repeatedly until the
mountain symbol is displayed for a short time.
The altimeter is activated.
The current altitude is displayed in the upper
section of the display.
You can access more sub-functions by shortly pressing the "Select" button.
• "SPD": Speed
• "VTS": Vertical speed (height units per minute)
• "TG": Accumulated altitude gain, ascent
• "TL": Accumulated altitude loss, descent
• "CLK": Time

The data can be deleted by holding down the "Set" button in the respective sub-
function for about 3 seconds.
