5. Safety instructions

The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from
non-compliance with these operating instructions. We assume no liability
for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. In
such cases the warranty is voided!
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
for safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not dismantle the product (except
to insert or exchange the battery as described in chapter 7). The device
contains no parts that require servicing or adjusting.
• Maintenance, adjustments and repair work may only be carried out by a
specialist/specialised workshop.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. It
contains small parts, glass (display) and batteries.
• The product is splash-proof. However, never immerse it in water! It is not
intended to be used in the shower, when bathing, swimming or diving.
If the display unit gets wet, do not operate the buttons to prevent water from
getting to the inside of the device.
Do not expose the product to high-humidity or wet conditions over longer
periods of time.
• Only operate the product in moderate climate, never in tropical climate.
The product is designed for use at an operating temperature from 0°C to
40°C. Temperatures lower then 0°C can significantly reduce operating time
(due to the temperature sensitivity of the batteries).
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight over longer periods of time
(especially when used inside vehicles). Overheating can damage the display.
• Do not operate the product while steering a vehicle (the same applies e.g. to
mobile phones or other navigation systems).
You might be distracted from your surroundings or traffic, which can cause
an accident.
• Do not place any objects on the device. Do not press on the display, it will be
destroyed.
