Utilisation prévue et précautions d'emploi
Le présent lecteur USB pour cartes mémoire flash compact sert à la
lecture et à l'enregistrement de cartes mémoire flash compact. La
connexion par connecteur USB permet le transfert très rapide de
données.
Toute utilisation autre que stipulée ci-dessus provoque l'endomma-
gement de ce produit, ainsi que des risques de courts-circuits, d'in-
cendie, de décharge électrique, etc. Il n'est permis ni de modifier le
produit, ni de le transformer!

Ideally, use a ZIP drive or something alike or burn a CDR/ CD-RW
if you handle big data files.
Always keep data carriers in a safe place.
Durability of self-burned CDRs/ CD-RWs is hardly guaranteed by
any manufacturer. We therefore recommend to burn several CDs
using high quality CD blanks of different manufacturers, if you
want to save important data.
• It may happen that CompactFlash cards which had been record-
ed in MP3 players cannot be read out or recorded by the USB
card reader (copy protection), and MP3s which had been copied
back to the PC can no longer be retrieved due to their coding.
The same applies if the procedure is done the other way around,
e.g. if MP3 data which had been copied directly from the hard
disk to a CompactFlash card using the USB card reader cannot
be retrieved by the MP3 player.
These problems mostly occur, when the MP3 player disposes of
a USB port or a parallel port and transmission of MP3 data
requires a special software. Data will be encoded during trans-
mission by this software.
CompactFlash cards that have been formatted with the USB card
reader might be unusable together with an MP3 player.
In this case, please format the CompactFlash cards with your
MP3 player.
• Usually, the USB card reader will run without problems when
connected to a low power USB port (e.g. USB hub without sepa-
rate mains unit such as the USB port of a USB keyboard).
