9. Operation


Please note:
The FS20 Radio Switching System components (e.g. a radio switching plug) do
not react to remote control commands as they are initially supplied. They need
to be addressed in accordance with the instructions of the corresponding
device.
It is only afterwards that their functions can be controlled.
a) Basic Functions
The buttons are pressed either for a short period (switching) or longer then 0.4 seconds
(dimming) depending on requirements.

The respective button of a channel (1 to 10) is globally programmed as the ON
command (and/or raise dim) the corresponding left button is the OFF command
(and/or lower dim).
The transmission of a command is signalled by the short lighting of the control light LED.
There is a paper on the rear side of the remote control for noting your allocation of individual
buttons. Remove the foil cover, record the button allocation and replace the foil.
You can now already program and operate the FS20 components in their basic functions.

If you intend to construct or configure a system with several components or you
wish to use the additional functions, please read the following chapter.

b) Use of Multiple Remote Controls

Ex-factory components in an FS20 radio switching system each have a different randomly
assigned house code.

If you wish to control several receivers via different transmitters, the house
codes on the transmitters must first be coordinated on the transmitters. The
same house code is to be set to each transmitter.
This coordination and/or the setting of a mutual house code for all
transmitters must be carried out before the first programming of the
receiver, as the corresponding house code is transferred to the receiver
in the process.
