6. Battery Instructions

• Batteries should be kept out of children's reach.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is the risk that they will be
swallowed by children or pets. In such a case, seek instant medical attention!
• Batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. You
should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Observe the correct polarity when inserting the battery (positive and negative).
• If the device is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. storage), take out the inserted
batteries to avoid damage from leaking batteries.
• Always replace the whole set of batteries. Do not mix full batteries with half-full ones. Always
use batteries/rechargeable batteries of the same type and manufacturer.

7. Inserting Batteries, Replacing Batteries

• Carefully remove the foil cover on the rear side of the remote control and the paper strip for
the button allocation diagram/marking. The foil cover is only clipped in at the side.
• Then open the battery compartment by pressing the upper part of the battery compartment
cover (the straight end with the thin opening) by about a half millimetre towards the middle
of the battery compartment cover (a small hook holds the battery compartment cover in the
housing), take the battery compartment cover off.
• Place the two LR44 batteries into the compartment in the correct polarity (the plus terminal
must point outwards towards you).
• Close the battery compartment.
• If the LED on the front side of the remote control does not glow when the remote control is
operated or when you notice that the range of the remote control is greatly reduced, then both
the batteries need to be exchanged for new ones.
