Installing the spokes magnet
At first unscrew the magnet from the plastic holder.
Attach the plastic holder onto one of the spokes of the wheel as shown in the
picture and tighten the magnet again. At the same time the magnet must point
to the sensor.
Set sensor arm, position sensors
The sensor arm can be set so that the magnet can pass the sensor arm
closely.
Loosen the sensor arm when loosening the screw (turn left anti clockwise).
Afterwards you can carefully turn the sensor arm. The distance between
the actual sensor at the tip of the sensor arm (see circle mark in picture
below) and the magnet should not amount to more then 10 mm.
Check whether the magnet or the spokes pass the sensor arm without any
problems. Then tighten the screw (do not use force).
Now check again whether the pedal magnet as well as the spokes magnet or the sensor is correctly posi-
tioned.
Then tighten all cable ties.
Download and start app
Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play
and search for the "ALA COACH+" app.
Download the "ALA COACH+" app onto your
mobile dwevice and follow the on screen
installation instructions.
Before starting the app you can first check
whether the Bluetooth
function is switched on
®
in your smartphone.
When the Bluetooth
function is switched on
®
you can start the
"ALA COACH+" app. Call up the settings in the
app and add a new "Speed/cadence" sensor.
So the app recognizes the bike sensor turn the
pedal in such a way that the magnet passes
the sensor.
Subsequently a new sensor should be displayed by the app.
Touch the sensor found (e.g. "Cycling sensor V11") on the display of the smartphone. The sensor is added
after a few seconds and you can assign a new name to the sensor.
Several sensors can be administered with the app. Therefore always ensure that the correct sensor is ac-
tivated in the app.
Lastly you must set your bicycle in the settings of the app. Retrieve the settings of the app. A bicycle can be
entered in the activity preferences in the "cycling" mode. Enter a name for the bike and adjust the wheel size
or the wheel circumference.
Then start the measuring function of the app.
The Bluetooth
function must be switched on in your smartphone.

The bike sensor activates the standby mode after approximately one minute if no magnet pass-
es the pedal or spokes sensor. The bike sensor is automatically "woken up" if a magnet passes
the pedal or spokes sensor. For this reason it may be necessary to travel a few meters before
the app receives and displays data.
If you want to use another app please ensure that this offers support to so called "Bluetooth
Smart Devices".
The distance between the bike sensor and smartphone should not be greater then 2m.

Maintenance and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free part from occasionally replacing the battery.
• Clean the exterior of the product using a clean, soft, dry cloth only.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the housing caus-
ing discoloration and/or malfunction.
Disposal
a) General
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
Remove the battery (if installed) and dispose of separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that dis-
posal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wher-
ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
