Operation

Connect the consumer load to the mains socket (F).
Please observe the section "Technical Data" for the admissible maximum perfor-
mance.
By using the respective "ON" or "OFF" button of the switching channel at the hand-held trans-
mitter the radio controlled mains socket is turned on/off again with the same set switching
channel (control-LED (E) lights up or is terminated).
Maintenance and care
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never open it or take it apart.
Remove connected consumer loads from the radio controlled mains socket and disconnect it
from the mains socket prior to cleaning of the product.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleansing agents
or chemical solutions since this might damage the surface of the housing or impair operation.
Handling
• The product is only to be used in closed, dry indoor locations. The product must
not get damp or wet.
• Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation loca-
tion and during transportation:
- Excessive humidity or damp
- direct sunlight
- extreme cold or heat
- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or louds-
peakers
• Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed.
Do not disassemble the product! The housing does not contain any serviceable
parts.
• Check the product for damage before use!
If you recognize damages do no longer use the product! There is a risk of a life-
threatening electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- if it is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.

Transmission range

The transmission range of the radio signals between hand-held transmitter and radio controlled
mains socket is up to 30 m under optimum conditions.
This data, however, is the so-called "open space range" (range with intervisibility of
transmitter and receiver, without interfering infl uences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, the ceilings of rooms etc. between
the transmitter and the receiver which reduce the range correspondingly.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission no certain range can be
guaranteed.
Nevertheless, usually operation in a single-family home is possible without prob-
lems.
The coverage can partly be limited considerably by:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/metallised insulated glass
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
• Proximity to human body
• Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobiles, radio-
controlled headphones, radio-controlled speakers, other radio-controlled weather stations,
babyphones etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
• The proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electric
appliances
Disposal
a) In general
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechar-
geable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries that contain pollutants, or rechargeable batteries with the symbol depicted
here, cannot be disposed of with the normal household garbage. The designations
for the respective hazardous heavy metals are Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb =
lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to collection points
in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
