Connecting the IR stand-by control
• Place the infrared receiver on a level surface in the proximity of the electronic
device you want to control and establish direct visual contact between the IR
receiver and the remote control.
• Before commissioning the device, check that the voltage indicated on the type
label corresponds with the mains voltage!
• Insert the plug of the IR stand-by control into a properly installed earthed socket.
Do not use a dimmable socket under any circumstances, otherwise the microcon-
troller of the IR stand-by control cannot work reliably.

Teaching in the buttons of the IR remote control

• Press the mode button on the casing of the switchgear for more than five seconds
until the LED in the casing of the IR receiver blinks.
• Now the device expects the IR code of your remote control, which turns on the
socket.
• For this purpose, point your remote control at a distance of approx. 0.5 m towards
the casing of the IR receiver and press the button on your remote control intended
to activate the cutlet within 10 seconds.
• If your IR stand-by control was correctly recognized, the LED in the casing goes off
briefly and then starts to flash again.
• Now the flashing LED signals that you should next press the button, which will be
used to deactivate the device now. This step must again be performed within the
next ten seconds.
• If you press another remote control key within ten seconds and if this was recog-
nized by your IR stand-by control, the LED in the casing of the IR receiver goes off
and your IR stand-by control is taught in and ready for operation.
• If you do not press a button on your remote control within ten seconds or if this is
not recognized by the IR receiver, the LED in the casing of the IR receiver goes off.
In this case, no IR button was taught in, or the last remote control buttons taught in
remain saved in the IR stand-by control. (This applies for the teaching-in process
for the activation button as well as the deactivation button for the socket.)
